42nd Annual Holiday Regatta of Lights

A Nights of Lights Tradition at St. Augustine Yacht Club

Join us for the 42nd Annual St. Augustine Holiday Regatta of Lights, a maritime parade that illuminates the bay front just north of the Bridge of Lions. This event, hosted by the St. Augustine Yacht Club, celebrates our city's rich maritime heritage and the holiday season. We invite motorized vessels capable of maintaining 5 to 7 knots of boat speed to participate and light up the bay with holiday cheer. Don't miss this cherished St. Augustine tradition, a spectacle for both locals and visitors alike. Experience the city's "Nights of Lights" and the unforgettable Holiday Regatta of Lights boat parade on December 9th, 2023.

How to Enter

1 - Enter on-line by clicking "Register Now"

2 - Download, print, sign and return the official entry form by mail or drop at the clubhouse by Dec. 8th. 

3 - Register at the skippers meeting Dec. 9th @10:00am at St. Augustine Yacht Club.

What type of boats can enter the regatta?

We invite all motorized vessels capable of maintaining 5 to 7 knots of boat speed to participate. A Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held at The St. Augustine Yacht Club for the Captains and Crews of the boats in the parade. Awards will be made by a panel of judges. Eighteen trophies will be given in three classes:

                  Grand Prize:                BEST OVERALL—1st place 

Private/Under 25':             MOST COLORFUL—1st, 2nd and 3rd places

                                                           BEST THEME—1st, 2nd and 3rd places

                                                           BEST IN CLASS—1st place

         Private/25' & Over:             MOST COLORFUL—1st, 2nd and 3rd places

                                                           BEST THEME—1st, 2nd and 3rd places

                                                           BEST IN CLASS—1st place

                    Commercial:              MOST COLORFUL—1st place

                                                           BEST THEME—1st place

                                                           BEST IN CLASS—1st place

What is the entry fee?

Thanks to our generous parter organizations and sponsors, this event is free to enter. All boat operators must attend the skippers meeting.

The St. Johns County Tourist Development Council, The St. Augustine Port Waterway & Beach District Commission and The Florida Inland Navigation District provided the necessary funding for this event.
